I swear Im doing this!

Yes I still am going to sell the hats and such I swear! I was just waiting for Etsy's month to reset so I did not have to pay all the fees so soon. I also still need to figure out shipping cost, but its hard when you only have one car and your husband uses it for work. Sorry for the delay, I will get up and running ASAP.

OMG I suck!

UHG I cant figure anything out! Every time I try to set things up myself I start realizing I cant do this alone. Im so worried Im not going to sell anything. I always put on a brave face and then get to a point where I doubt myself. UHHHG! I keep thinking...ok maybe $20 is to high? But then I have all the user fees to think about. Etsy takes a percent and so does paypal. And the cost to make them and how much is my time really worth to me(by the time I add everything it seems Im paying myself about $3.00 a headband...that a whole $99 if I sell all 33!) Then there is shipping... Good lord I got to buy boxes and manila envelopes! Ok then I think $20 is what I paid for my headband at megacon. But then I think...maybe mine arent that good. OMG Im freaking out. What if people dont like my stuff? What If everyone wants to return them! OMG WHAT IF!!

This is so hard! I suck at selling things! this is why I end up quitting ;__;

Setting up on Etsy

So while my husband is building my web store, I will be selling my Lolita hats and bands on Etsy. Once I find out the shipping cost(soon) I will post the link to my shop on Etsy. I have a feeling with him being so busy my store will probably be my current blogspot for awhile. I hope the Headbands sell, I have so much fun making them and would love to make more in the future!

noflutter.blogspot

Hey guys just to let you know I now also have noflutter.blogspot! You must be asking yourself....why didn't you just use that one from the beginning!? Well because the other day I was redoing my resume and realized...dude Jen you have used that name since High School time to grow up! (its been 10 years >.> ) Nothing like like giving professionals your email address and them snickering. So I decided yes. I will grow up. I will be all business like and conform to the ways of the business ninja! So I created a new email and this blog all in the same day.

But then it dawned on me....everyone knows me on deviantart as NoFlutter. Son of monkey. My new website is noflutter.com.... CRAP. Oh well so much for the business ninja. oh well at least the blog matches my new email. So I walked away from the computer and ran back thinking....well let me check if noflutter.blogspot is available. It was. Its mine now. I feel better knowing I have it.

I will use that page for my Art work(finished art, photography, ect) and personal bitching. All headgear will remain here. My Art verses my Crafts. Brilliant. I feel better justifying my stupidity.

Why "Black Hat Society?"

Ok so for the past few months I have been decoration mini top hats and making Lolita style headbands which sparked my interest to sell them at conventions. Well unfortunately, I did not have the funds like I was hoping to for a booth so that idea is currently on hold (not dead, but on hold). Well I made so far 5 hats (actually 6 but my mother claimed one- like she actually going to wear it lol) and about 40 headbands. I figured..well hell I got a good amount to start off as a test so Ill make myself a website to sell them on.

But wait...how the heck did I come up the the Black Hat Society??

Well its a play off the crazy old ladies in the Red Hat Society. I figured...jeez those old gals can glam it up in red and purple us gothy girls can have our fun too! I would have loved to have gotten blackhatsociety.com but some girl into witch craft currently owns it. Also would have loved the name for blogspot too, but someone owns it to dedicate their decided loved ones. Huh. I picked a winner!

Well for now it will be under my name,Jennifer Vaiano. I figured well I sign my art that name might as well keep it. har har. Not only that but if this fails miserably I can always pretend it never happened.
